List of logistic abbreviations – letter E

  • E – code in the classification of air waybill rates, denoting rotational rates (e.g. a sudden increase in volume may be associated with a change in price level)
  • EAN – European Article Number – is the European Commodity Code, used to denote units of goods, especially retail products
  • EAT – food
  • EBS – ang. Emergency Bunker Surcharge – a special surcharge used to eliminate fluctuations in fuel prices, each time the decision on its calculation is made by the shipowner carrying out the transport
  • EORI – the number assigned to each entrepreneur and, where applicable, other persons, is used for the purpose of identifying these persons in contacts with customs authorities throughout the European Union
  • EDI – electronic data exchange
  • EFTA – European Free Trade Association
  • ePOD – electronic Delivery Note
  • ETA – estimated time of arrival – the estimated time the goods arrived at their destination
  • EWB – Express Waybill waybill in intermodal transport
  • ETD – estimated time of departure – estimated time of departure of a ship from port, abbreviation used in maritime transport
  • ERS – Equipment Imbalance Surcharge – a special surcharge to compensate for shipowner’s losses due to unbalanced container availability
  • (EUR) – Euro pallet, wooden pallet, dimensions 1200 x 800 mm; marked with the letters EUR
