In March 2020, Amazon temporarily limited receiving, restocking and shipping for products that require 2 people to pick, pack or dispatch. Amazon explains he did so to protect the well-being of the employees and to ensure adherence to guidance from health authorities regarding physical distancing. The policy applied to parcels and individual products weighing more than 15 kg.
Amazon is now – starting Oct. 21, 2020 – resuming the receiving and processing of individual products and parcels over 15 kg in the UK, France, Italy and Spain.
Amazon has changed operations in order to be able to receive, restock and ship these products while continuing to keep the employees protected and follow safety guidelines from local and international health authorities.
