New Requirement on Amazon: Country of Origin (COO) information required for all your products

After August 22nd, 2021 all Amazon sellers are required to provide Country of Origin (COO) information for all product listings. This aims to ensure FBA Export orders which are sent across the UK-EU border smoothly and the customs clearance is performed without delays.

The change will have the following impact on your listings:

  1. New listings: You will be unable to create new listings on Amazon without selecting your products Country of Origin (COO) information from the drop-down menu.
  2. Existing listings: You will be unable to edit existing listings on Amazon until you have provided Country of Origin (COO) information.

These changes will come into effect after August 22, 2021. Please be sure to update Country of Origin (COO) information for your products on Amazon before this date.

Please keep in mind that Amazon Pan-EU FBA and EFN are no longer operating across the UK-EU border, but FBA Export program that Amazon offers continues to function. This allows EU customers to visit the Amazon.co.uk website and UK customers to visit EU stores and order products direct to their home address on the opposite side of the customs border.
