Amazon FBA in Germany can receive products and parcels over 15 kg again

In March 2020 Amazon temporarily limited receiving, restocking and shipping for products that require 2 people to process – to pick, pack or dispatch. Amazon was forced to do it to protect the well-being of employees and to ensure adherence to guidance from health authorities regarding physical distancing. The policy applied to parcels and individual products weighing more than 15 kg.

In October 2020 Amazon resumed the processing of individual products and parcels over 15 kg in the UK, France, Italy and Spain.

In November 2020, Amazon is also resuming the processing of individual products and parcels over 15 kg in Germany, effectively lifting the restriction in all the European marketplaces.

Amazon claims to have changed their operations so they can receive, restock and ship these products while continuing to keep employees protected and follow safety guidelines from local and international health authorities during the COVID-19 pandemic.
